From The Archives

I found a forgotton cache of old pictures, and so I figured I'd post them here.  So.  Here ya go:

Fully restored Ford Falcon at the beach. (You never know what will wash up.)

Improved Josephs Coat in her heyday

Many happy honeybees playing in an Itoh Red blossom!

The first and only truly red clematis I've ever seen - and I owned it!   (And yes, it's coming back like there never was a flood!)

    1. Right?!! It was for sale at Lowes (a big box store) as "Clematis - red" and that was it. No more information. Staff not helpful. Tried to hunt it down online and got nowhere,. I seriously hope it finds a good home somehow, somewhere

  3. The garden pictures are beautiful, Dinah beat m to raving about the red Clematis. And those shrubs do a great job hiding the crap fence.

  6. Oh honey no. That girl is holding a high-test microbrew. In fact that gal is holding a high-test microbrew right now.

  7. FYI- that gal is crossed up top to bottom. Note how the coke bottle figures defy all attempts at dude-ification.

  8. It's probably no surprise, my favorite pic is the red bloom with all the little honeybees. So cute! I have a hard time getting a picture of bees to turn out good.

    1. I was so lucky on this...it was still early morning and the bees were still waking up. One of them is flying right at the camera- the rest of them were still busy with breakfast!

  9. Ah, the infamous Crap Fence. When you visited the old Rancho recently, was the crap still clinging valiantly to the fence?

P.S. Like almost everyone else here, I also need a red clematis. NEED!

    1. Most of the crap was still there, along with new crap! Namely, flood detritus. And poor Geoffrey is still in the Shrine of Geoffrey too - but all you can see is his golden arm sticking up, holding the wreath.
